Samurai Judo hosted the first of a series of planned Kata courses developed by Eisteddfod Judo. The first event GONOSENO KATA was opened to the Welsh Judo Community to be assessed at Level 1. The Samurai was delighted to welcome 32 judoka to be assessed by Kata examiners Duncan Kinnear and Andrew Burt, supported by Steve Withers. The event was a coach revalidation event and later confirmed by British Judo to be the biggest Kata event in the UK to date this year. The day was a busy day ! The Samurai hosted in the morning a First Aid course to support the shortlist developed from our oversubscribed First Aid course held in March together with a Child protection and Safeguarding course. In total the day produced 6 First Aiders, 18 Safeguarding certificates and 32 Kata certificates. Well done every one a brilliant day supporting the Welsh Judo community.
